The different ingredients that go into making Mexican soups are what make them so delicious and devine.

Mexican Soup Recipes
Pozole is a wonderful Mexican soup that consists of soft and tender pork meat slowly cooked in a special chile broth combined with white hominy. This particular soup is usually garnished with thinly sliced cabbage, radishes and slices of lime on the side. Pozole also tastes great with tortilla chips. Pozole is one of the most popular Mexican soups besides menudo. Menudo is also another appetizing Mexican soup people love to enjoy. Menudo is an interesting Mexican soup made with tripe, white hominy, chile, and Mexican spices. Menudo has been commonly known to alleviate hangovers. Caldo de Res (Beef Soup) is a traditional Mexican soup that is perfect for a Sunday lunch or dinner. This soup is made of soft and tender beef meat, small corn on the cobs, Mexican quash, zucchini, potatoes, and carrots. Serve Caldo de Res with warm flour or corn tortillas.



MENUDO

This is a spicy soup made with tripe and is often believed to be a cure for a hangover. Generally Menudo is only made on special occasions, as it is a time consuming dish. There are many different ingredients that can go into making Menudo; however, there a few items that are almost always included. Chile, garlic and onions are probably the most common ingredients besides the ever-present tripe. Different varieties of Menudo are red, green, white and clear. Often hominy or corn will be added to give the soup more texture.

Pozole is a stew made from hominy, meat - typically pork, onion, garlic, chile peppers, and oregano. When pozole is finished, it's usually garnished with vegetables like radish or cabbage.

It consists of chicken, corn, tomatoes, onions, garlic and green chiles topped with shredded Monterey jack cheese and crushed tortilla chips. If you like avocados, you can even add those.
